Musings on human existence

hairy eyebrows
double chin
bad breath
see you're awake
I'm in
a smelly cloud of farts
push-pins 
keep girls prettier than me
on the wall
I watch their smooth faces all
day long

I've broken hearts
eaten crow
opened my mouth
to pretend I know
it all
head-strong
lied
lost
no defence for when I've tossed
truth out the window
feelings over my 
shoulder
over-logicked the situation
when I should have been emotional

this whole time
I've thought I was the protagonist
quickly learning that I'm
wrong

but am I really the antagonist?
I've got no evil intentions
no poison apples
no a-bombs
then again
it doesn't take
that much

on the plus side
time and space 
don't seem to care
about sides
only about 
existence
and non-existence
everything else
is arbitrary
